Appreciation for the Land
The Department of Illumination is situated on the traditional and ancestral territories of the Anishinaabe and the Haudenosaunee, adjacent to Kanien’keha:ka (Mohawk) territory. We acknowledge their enduring presence on this sacred land, as well as the presence of the Metis, Inuit, and other First Nations from across Turtle Island. We honour their cultures and celebrate their commitment to this land. We take responsibility to evolve and re-examine our practices and to make space for Indigenous voices.
producing festivals, workshops, and other artistic events since 2013
